In the second quarter of 2025, the Maps and Navigation app landscape in Uruguay showed diverse trends across the top five applications, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Cabify saw fluctuations in weekly downloads, with a peak of approximately 6.5K in early May. Despite this, weekly active users experienced a gradual decline, dropping from around 41.5K at the start of the quarter to 24.2K by the end.

Moovit: Your Transit Tracker maintained a steady presence with weekly downloads peaking at about 5K in early May. Revenue remained consistent, averaging around $1.5K throughout the quarter. Active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 313K mid-June before settling at 248K by the quarter's end.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced an increase in weekly downloads, culminating at 4.2K in the final week of June. However, active users showed a downward trend, decreasing from 238K to 202K over the quarter.

STM Montevideo had a relatively stable download pattern, with a notable peak of 3.8K in mid-May. Active users showed a slight decline, starting at 116K and ending around 104K.

Lastly, Uber - Request a ride achieved consistent download numbers, peaking at 2.9K towards the end of June. Active users saw an upward trend, growing from 94K at the beginning of the quarter to over 100K by the end.
